Unlike today's lively ARIA Award Ceremony, the first three years had no live performances and the awards ceremony was not televised until 3 years later in 1991. Today's ARIA Awards is seen by around 2 million people on television, and approximately 2,500 recording industry guests and 5,000 members of the general public.
